Hi guys. I've been programming Macs since the Mac II came out in 1987 and made a career out of it. I have a M.S. degree in Chemistry from Virginia Tech in 1978 and have worked for several Pharmaceutical and Software companies since then. I'm retired now and living in Thailand, but before that, I lived in the U.S. and ran my own software engineering company called Xytel, Inc. out of Reno, Nevada. Most of my programming has been for scientific apps such as Molecular Modeling, DNA analysis and control of medical devices. I've been retired for 6 years, but have recently gotten bored and started writing code for the iPhones. It's really cool and Apple has provided some very powerful SDK's. This forum is just what is needed for developers and I look forward to chatting with you guys as I work toward writing an iPhone app for the App Store. I've only been working with the iPhone SDK's for a couple of months now, so I'm still learning about it, but I've been around for a while writing Apple desktop apps, so I'll try to help anytime I can. I have a 3G and several Macs, including a new 17" MacBookPro with 8 gigs of memory and a non-glare screen (I really like the screen).

Have a good time programming the iPhone and good luck to you all!
